Really nice
We love this picnic blanket!! I purchased this blanket to set a scene for my son to propose to his girlfriend (now fiancé yay!) who loves all things outdoors with mix of whimsy. He wanted an early evening picnic set up for them on the family farm in a glen with fairy lights around the blanket. It was perfect! The best part about it though is that they now have this picnic blanket to keep as a sweet memory of that day. It was the perfect size for the two of them, a small cooler and a wicker picnic basket with plenty of extra room. It is so easy to clean and is truly waterproof. The surface is soft and comfortable, and I love the shape of it. One of the best features is the ability to fold it up into a compact size with a carry handle. And the pattern is so cute!! Overall, a fantastic picnic blanket!!
This blanket is just fabulous! I have a 5 year old and this summer has already yielded probably a dozen playdates at local playgrounds and beaches, and this blanket has come in handy every single time! Dirt, grass, wood chips and sand are no match for the slick fabric - just shake it off and fold it up. The extra large size makes it so I can have several kiddos sit on it for snack time, keeping everyone out of the itchy grass. It folds up way easier than some of my other picnic blankets, making for an easy getaway when playtime is up. And the print is beyond adorable. Even my husband makes sure to remind me to have it stashed in the back of the car for any outings. 100000% recommend!
I love it! It fits my family of 6 but could stand to be a little bigger. Overall nice material and folds up great! Easy to clean and the perfect thickness and it’s a beautiful pattern!
With one exception, I like everything about this picnic blanket. First the PROS:It is a great size. It has a beautiful design, complete with stitching that gives it a quilt look and feel. The waterproof backing will come in handy for those situations where the day is beautiful, but the grass is slightly wet for whatever reason. We've all been there... The cloth feels nice to the touch and I enjoyed walking on it with my bare feet. With a blanket this big, it is especially important to have a convenient way to store and carry the blanket. I especially like that there isn't a separate bag that the blanket is stuffed into. Products never seem to fit into the provided containers, and having a separate bag would have been a piece that could be lost. Instead, this blanket comes with a very clever way to fold and roll up the blanket such that it all holds together using an unobtrusive velcro strip and a special little flap that is attached to the side of the circular blanket. A handle on the side flap makes the whole blanket very easy to carry one-handed (important when unloading the car for a picnic!).There are even two thoughtful extras: 1) The side-flap has a zippered pocket in the back. :-) 2) There are also some loops on the end of the blanket, which I presume are for staking the edges to keep the blanket in place on windy days. Note that this blanket does not come with any such stakes. But I think it is nice that if you want/need to stake your blanket, the feature is there. The pocket on the back of the side-flap would be a great place to hold the stakes. So, what almost made me take away a star? While the fold up design is clever, it's not intuitive and there are no instructions what-so-ever for re-folding the blanket. It would have been so easy for the company to include folding lines and instructions printed right on the back of the blanket. With folding guides on the back of the blanket combined with printed folding instructions (which could have been easily stored in the side flap), this would have been the perfect picnic blanket. As it is, I HIGHLY recommend that you unfold the blanket very, very slowly in your living room first and take notes so that you will be able to fold it up again later. In the end, I decided not to remove a star for this blanket due to the complexity and lack of instructions for folding it up. That's how much I like all the other aspects of this picnic blanket. But do pay attention so you can fold it up later.
